TATOMIR

This man, Tatomir, was declared the emblem of the museum because he signifies neither the Romanian Peasant, nor the Balkan one. This kind of men can be found in France, Portugal, Germany or even Scandinavia. He was chosen precisely because he is an old European. We consider ourselves lucky to have such “old Europeans’ still living among us, in Romanian villages.
